Sarah Elizabeth Barton Drake was the first grave in 1865 in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

The original headstone was probably replaced in the 1940 when a nearby relative was buried. It is inscribed with "DRAKE, Sarah Elizabeth Barton, 1785 - c. 1865, First Grave in this Cemetery." Pleasant Hill Cemetery was reported by below link to be on "top of a hill near their home".

Other genealogical information indicates that she was born in Crowders Creek Township of Lincoln, NC. Her husband, Hezekiah Drake who died about 1861, is interestingly buried in a different cemetery at Ebenezer Church. Another post indicates that Hezekiah left his wife to move over the mountain to be with Elizabeth Stepp.
