The bench dedicated to Daisy D. Irelan is located in a small downtown park in Sapulpa. This is a concrete bench which sits on a walkways in this small area known as Martha's Corner.
Daisy Dye Daubin, born on August 31, 1880, married Oren Miller Irelan in 1905, after which they moved to Oklahoma Territory and settled in Sapulpa. Oren was the publisher of Sapulpa's first newspaper, the Sapulpa Light, and together they founded the first church in Sapulpa. Daisy was a pillar in the W.C.T.U. (Women's Christian Temperance Union).
The Irelan family were close friends with the Stephensons, another pioneer family. This park, Martha's Corner, is named after Martha Meis Stephenson.
Daisy Irelan passed away on April 17, 1966.
