We contacted the visitors centre and we gratefully received a large package of local information about a month before our trip. We were not disappointed.
When we arrived in Grand Forks our first stop was the visitors centre, with list in hand of all the waymarking possibilities.
With much needed help the list of stores that are out of business was reduced, new points of interest were added and we were given directions and addresses of previously unknown locations.
When in Grand Forks this is a must visit. The staff was friendly and most helpful. There is the Grand Forks Historical Walking Tour guide available in the visitors center.
While you are there the Grand Forks and District Art and Heritage centre is also at this location. Featuring works by local and regional artists, a gift shop and a pictorial history of the region.
Signing their guest book was a bonus.
