This artesian well is located on CR 315 just outside Palatka, Fla. I have been coming to this well for over 40 years now since I was a small boy. The water is always cool and has a slight mineral taste to it but the locals swear by it. The flow rate is not real good but is seasonal according to rainfall. The well used to flow right out of the ground but years ago the Department of Environmental Protection came and drove a shaft down the spring and encased it concrete to get the flower pipe higher off the ground to protect from ground contamination.
