This gazebo-looking band shell was erected by Lions and dedicated o a lion, specifically, W.A. "Bud" Myers. There is a gold-colored plaque attached to the wood which reads: In Memoriam W.A. "Bud" Myers 1921 to 2000 Band Shell Dedicated by the Laurel Springs Lions Club July 11, 2011 The band shell is in the back yard, on the right side of the Whitman-Stafford House (1785). This was the summer home of Poet Walt Whitman from 1876 to 1882. At that time, the home was called the Stafford Farm House. The name has since been changed to the Whitman-Stafford House.
