The mill is now used as a private residence, and the site used to be used as a flour mill and dates to around the 18th century, driven by a tributary of the rover Dee.

A millstone out side the old mill, or in welsh; Hen Felin, 'Hen' being old, and 'Felin' being Mill, hence; Hen Felin.
