This Gothic Revival style church building was constructed in 1891 for the Turner Presbyterian congregation. Prior to that time, the congregation met in the Union Baptist Church (no longer standing). The bell tower used to include a steeple, which now stands on a platform at ground level behind the building. In 1936, the building was purchased by the Assembly of God, but is now vacant. The building is notable as the only one that still stands of the four original church buildings constructed in Turner.

Immediately east of the church is the former parsonage, built in the same time period but heavily altered and now in use as a private residence (blue house pictured below).
