This headstone and its accompanying footstone are near the east entrance to the cemetery. The headstone is currently face down, probably to protect its inscription, which is in very good condition (formatted for easier reading):

Born Sept. the 21, 1876. Died, Dec. the 29, 1901. Fare well darling.
Notably, this headstone (when it was still standing upright) graces the cover of Terry G. Jordan's "Texas Graveyards: A Cultural Legacy." This book is an excellent guide to the various types of cemeteries in Texas, based on various cultural customs and traditions.
