The final resting place of Dot Abbott is at the center of Rose Hill Burial Park, east of the Lake and at the north end of section 10. Hers is a horizontal, double marker shared with her spouse James. A large family monument is a few feet away, with the words "Dunlap/Abbott".

1952: Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. v. Sawyer: The U.S. Supreme Court limits the power of the President to seize private business, after President Harry S. Truman nationalizes all steel mills in the United States, just before the 1952 steel strike begins.
1962: In Los Angeles, California, the first MLB game is played at Dodger Stadium.
1972: The first Boston Marathon in which women are officially allowed to compete.
1982: Cal Ripken, Jr. plays the first of what eventually becomes his record-breaking streak of 2,632 consecutive Major League Baseball games.
