The Grand Lodge of Tennessee building was constructed beginning in 1923 with the cornerstone laid January 31, 1923. The first meeting held in the building was on February 10, 1925. The building was originally built as the Scottish Rite Temple. Due to declining membership and financial burdens the building was sold to the Grand Lodge of Tennessee on May 20, 1937. Since then the building has served as the Grand Lodge of Tennessee.
