When Utah celebrated its centennial of statehood in 1996, the city of Ephraim erected a totem pole that depicted important elements of Ephraim's heritage that were significant to the area's history dating from the time that statehood was granted. The marker on this totem pole reads:

Majestic Wildlife, Ancient Natives
Ancestral Scandanavians
Together Abound
On This Common Ground
Called Ephraim.
