According to the church website, "The church was first charted around 1845. The current building is the third structure used by the congregation and was built in 1921. In 2009, the church added a fellowship hall, new kitchen, classrooms and offices, offering a more spacious place for the community and church members.This addiditon also made the church compliant with the American Disabilities Act standards.The building was consecrated in January 2010."
The church is also well known in the area for hosting "The Lord's Acre" celebration every September since 1952.
