The Kekuli Café is a new little restaurant in a new little strip mall along Louis Drive in Westbank. It's a great lunch place for those who need to be connected while munching & lunching, as it offers free WIFI, as well.

The Kekuli Café is to be featured on the Food Network's "You Gotta Eat Here" on April 19th at 6:30. Time and date are shown on the accompanying poster in the gallery.

"Host John Catucci travels to Westbank, BC and visits Kekuli Café; a restaurant with a simple mantra – Don’t panic we’ve got bannock! Chef Sharon Bond incorporates an ancient Indian ingredient in making a First Nation fry bread used for everything from Bannock Buffalo Burgers to Berry Bannock Bread Pudding."

We stopped in at the Kekuli Café yesterday for lunch, and found that they do, indeed, have some FINE food. B had the "Classic Chili Indian Taco" and K had the "Chili N Bannock" (large). They were both GreAT! The chili is what many would call mild, but just to our particular taste, and the bannock is a real treat! Too, the prices are very reasonable. Check the menus in the gallery.

The only downside I can see here is that the café is small, with a seating capacity of about 20 to 25, and when they get popular, there could be some long waiting lines for that chili and bannock.
