This Hiking and Walking Trailhead, along with one other, is located on the southeast side of Utah Highway 25, near the southwest corner of Fish Lake and about one-half mile southwest of the Lakeside Resort store.

This hiking trail starts at the same parking lot as the one for the Lakeshore National Recreation Trail. The trail proceeds northward and a short distance later meets up with the creek that flows down Doctor Canyon. The trail parallels the creek for about another 1 1/2 miles past Slag Spring and ends at Nah-Gah Flat.
