This homemade saddle covers an existing mailbox along Main Street in Bern, Idaho.

This is a unique homemade mailbox that seems right at home outside a ranch in rural Idaho. It is a saddle, complete with stirrups. It is primarily made of, what appears to be, hand painted plywood with leather accents, and metal rings with tassles. It looks somewhat old, as the black paint has mostly been weathered away. It straddles an existing white mailbox.
Make sure you check out the historical marker a few feet away, behind the wood rail fence.
