Wikipedia (
visit link) tells us:
"Bomaderry (Nowra) is a CityRail railway station on the South Coast railway line. The station opened on 2 June 1893.[1] It serves Bomaderry, which is a suburb of Nowra but on the northern side of the Shoalhaven River. The line was intended to be built across to Nowra proper, but the bridge was used for vehicle traffic instead.[2] No railway bridge crossing the Shoalhaven River at Nowra was ever built and to this day train services terminate on the northern side of the river. Bus services connect with the trains to the town centre.
The station has one side platform. There is a nearby paper mill siding for freight trains".
