I recovered this U.S. Geological Survey benchmark from 1963 in good condition. It does not exist in the NGS database but appears on a topography map as 'BM 4332'. It lies just east of a dirt road and about 4.32 miles north of Hwy 31. There is no witness post near the benchmark. The benchmark is a standard USGS disk stamped '4 DOR 1963' with an elevation stamping of 4332 feet. it is monumented on top of a square concrete post projecting about 7 inches above the ground. My posted coordinates will place you very close to this station.

Directions to BM: If you're traveling east on Hwy 31, there are a number of dirt road turnoffs on the left just after crossing the Narrows Bridge over the Chewaucan River. Take any one of the dirt roads and head north for approx. 4.1 miles to a removable wood and wire gate. Open the gate (closing behind you) and proceed on the dirt road approx. .2 miles to benchmark location. *WARNING* This benchmark is most likely on private property owned by ZX Ranch so you may want to contact them prior to recovery, although there are no 'Private Property' postings I could find.
