St. Paul's Episcopal Church was the first Episcopal Church in Johnston County, North Carolina. Its history began with the Diocese of North Carolina purchased the lot and a wooden church building from a Baptist congregation in 1903. The church was consecrated on May 28, 1911, by the Right Rev. Joseph Blount Cheshire Jr., Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina from 1893 to 1932. In 1953, the old wooden building was replaced by the current brick church. Source: (visit link)
