The beacon is a sorry sight - the pole and vanes are missing, and the base looks quite tatty too. The rod steps up to the top of the platform have also been damaged probably by some heavy forestry machinery because they're quite substantial and don't easily get bent like this.
The saving grace is that this is lovely area to explore - lots of forestry, hills and nature, and almost no people and traffic.

Ideally, you should try to take photos at the actual beacon location, but if that isn't possible (private property, terrain, etc), then photos taken from a distance are also welcome, especially if the beacon is visible in the photo.
