In Wellesley, near the intersection of Mass. Route 135, Route 16, and Grove Street, is the Taylor Building, built in 1904.
The building is east of that intersection on the south side of Washington Street/Route 135. It is not the building at the corner, but the next building east. It is a three story brick building, with stores at the first floor. At either end, between the second and third story windows, is a feature that has "Taylor" on the left feature and "1904" on the right feature, painted in gold, surrounded by a wreath-like feature.
A web page on the Wellesley Historical Society web site states that Charles N. Taylor built this building for the Wellesley National Bank, where he was President. The building also housed the Post Office until the present one was built in 1964.
Year of construction: 1904
