The roundabout at the entrance to Pine Nursery Park is the location for the abstract sculpture “Kickoff”. The stainless steel sculpture was made by Gloria Bornstein (visit link) of Seattle, WA. In a press release, Bornstein was quoted as saying, “I wanted to design an uplifting sculpture that enhances the viewer’s experience of the park. 'Kickoff’ is an exuberant sculpture that announces the entrance to Pine Nursery Park and celebrates the start of the game.” The sculpture was installed on Sept. 27, 2012 by Fabrication Specialties of Seattle.
