The islands of Puget Sound are great places to visit. San Juan Island is one of the larger and more popular destinations, right on the Canadian border. Sidney, British Columbia is just a few miles west of the island. To get the most bang for your buck during your visit, be sure to stop in and pick the brains of the helpful staff while picking up a fistful of brochures about area attractions.
While there are no restrooms of snack facilities in the Visitor Center itself, such items are only a short distance away in downtown Friday Harbor.
