In Wellesley, at the intersection of Mass. Route 135 and 16, is a posted map of the trails within the town of Wellesley, with an arrow taped on to show your location along the Cross Town Trail.
The map faces the intersection and is on the north side of it, at small green called Post Office Square (there is a post office about 200 ft to the north). In Post Office Square is a large rock.
The map is in a kiosk that stands about 7 ft tall. The map is of the whole town of Wellesley and shows several trails on it, such as the Crosstown Trail (Black), Charles River Trail (Red), Brook Path (Pink), and Sudbury Path (Blue). The tape is the roll type tape with the letters pressed on, "You Are Here."
The Crosstown Trail goes from east to west, from the Charles River Reservation to the town border with Natick near Mass Route 9. The path passes through the town park where there is a duck pond, passes by the town hall then here, then crosses back over the bridge.
This map was put up by the Town of Wellesley.
