Started in 1930, the sign above the carport identifies this the oldest operating Petrol Station in New Zealand. With its triangular corner design I'd also say its one of the most unique.

The station, on the corner of Cass St and York St, has three pumps and room for one or two vehicles. It is the only place to fuel up in historic Russell.
