This church, dedicated to St.Thomas, was built in the C14th. It is Grade II* listed. The nave was rebuilt and the west tower added c.1706. The octagonal font is also C14th so was probably made at the same time as the church was built. It has a moulded soffit and has four carved faces to the bases of alternate angles. Mounted on a round stem which is on a chamfered, octagonal base, the font can be found to the south of the chancel arch in an open area. It has a stepped timber cover.
Only two of the four faces are shown in the gallery, the one facing north and the one facing west.
The coordinates are for the south entrance porch.
Approximate Age of Artefact: C14th
