I recovered the National Geodetic Survey metal rod in good condition. There is an orange carsonite witness post near the access cover that makes recovery of this station much easier. This station is also located near a double utility pole. The NGS datasheet description is very adequate for station recovery. The NGS coordinates listed are way off but my posted coordinates will place you very close to this station.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1988 13.7 KM (8.50 MI) WESTERLY ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 66 FROM THE POST OFFICE IN KENO, 0.1 KM (0.05 MI) NORTHEAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF A DIRT ROAD LEADING NORTHEAST, A METAL ROD DRIVEN 2.0 METERS AND FLUSH WITH GROUND, 17.8 M (58.4 FT) SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 5.9 M (19.4 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF A DIRT ROAD, 1.9 M (6.2 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE SOUTHEAST LEG OF DOUBLE UTILITY POLE NUMBER 14-23, 0.3 M (1.0 FT) NORTHWEST OF A WITNESS POST, AND LEVEL WITH THE HIGHWAY. NOTE--ACCESS TO THE DATUM POINT IS THROUGH A 5-INCH LOGO CAP.
