The Ruth Memorial Chapel was constructed in 1912 as the Ruth Memorial Methodist Church. It was named for Ruth Heath, daughter of Dr. Walter L. Heath who donated $1,000 towards its construction. Ruth died at an early age and Dr. Heath himself passed away before the project was completed. The structure is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places and is an official town landmark. It is presently owned by the city and employed for small weddings and community events. The bell tower is prominently located on the northwest corner.
