Located on Al Bahri (the Corniche road) in downtown Mutrah, Oman, the Al Rasool Al Azam Mosque's elaborately crafted minaret rises atop all seaside buildings in town... a beautiful sight to behold, especially during sunset.
Officially named Masjid al-Rasool al-Azam (Mosque of the Great Prophet), this beautiful religious building is also widely known as the Al-Lawatiya Mosque. It is a fine example of Islamic architecture with a striking mosaic-covered onion dome and blue minaret dominating the skyline of Mutrah.
