Directions: From Durham, go north on US-501 to Bahama Road (SR1616) and William B. Umstead Historic Marker G-68 in the southeast quadrant of the intersection. Turn right onto Bahama Road and proceed about 5 miles to Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, which is well-marked with signage. The grave is at the left rear of the church, among the tombstones of many members of the Umstead family. Look for a polished monument about five feet tall and three feet wide.
