Juleaften 2011 klokken 18.30 eksploderede to rørbomber under en bil, der stod parkeret lige her ved Wilhelm Thomsens Plads. Bilens ejer havde netop sat sig ind sammen med sin 3-årige datter. Ud over chokket kom de to heldigvis ikke noget til. Ejerens fætter blev kort efter anholdt, sigtet for drabsforsøg. De to fætre har ifølge medierne igennem flere år haft store uoverensstemmelser og 3 gange været i retten tiltalt for at true hinanden. Denne sag blev omtalt i alle landets medier. I februar 2013 startede retssagen mod den forurettedes fætter.
Christmas Eve 2011 at 6.30 PM two pipe bombs exploded under a car, which was parked right here at Wilhelm Thomsens Plads. The owner of the car had just entered the car together with his three year old daughter. Luckily they didn't get hurt except from the shock. The cousin of the car owner was soon arrested and charged for attempted murder. According to the media the two cousins have had conflicts for several years and earlier been in court together charged for threatening. The episode with the carbomb was mentioned in all newspapers and televison in Denmark. The trial between the cousins started at the beginning of February 2013.
