When the town of Beaverton was still a small berg back in 1885, it's first doctor, Francis Marion Robinson, graduated from Willamette University with a degree in medicine and started his practice in Beaverton. Within two years, he had built a Queen-Anne style Victorian home on Broadway Street and by 1893 he had built a pharmacy next to his home. These two structures are still standing today, but were converted into a bakery by Charles Yeager in 1925, and then in 1965 they were purchased by Charles Schubert. The bakery is a favorite for all who have a sweet-tooth, and the establishment is especially noted for their wedding cakes.
Beaverton Bakery has also expanded; they have two other locations, one in Lake Oswego and the other in the Portland International Airport.
