CORS are used by geologists to track the motion of tectonic plates. But, they use GPS satellites to track the motion.
This station is located in a compound owned by the City of Yuma, and containing a lot of resources by the public works folks. Go south from I8B (32nd street) on Ave 6E for approximately 1/4 mile past 39th St. on your right, then on your left, you'll see a compound with a gate. Go East through that gate and past the first building on your left. The CORS antenna is mounted atop the second building on your left.
There is another way to approach it: From the main gate of Marine Corps Air Station - Yuma going South on Avenue 3E past the main gate, East County 12th Street is the next left turn (go East on that street till it ends at Ave. 6E and turn left (North). The City Yard is the first thing on your right....the gate is at the far end.
