The North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame is located in "Race City U.S.A." Mooresville, North Carolina and is dedicated to preserving the history of motorsports in North Carolina. A number of actual race cars from NASCAR, NHRA, and other forms of motorsports are on display including those of the Late Alan Kulwicki, and a replica of Curtis Turner's famed Purple Hog.
The Hall of Fame has inducted such motor sports greats as Richard Petty, Junior Johnson, William H. G. "Big Bill" France, Sr., "Smokey" Yunick and the late Dale Earnhardt.
The Hall of Fame and Museum is located in the Lakeside Industrial Park just off of Interstate 77 (Exit 36) in Mooresville, North Carolina. Several NASCAR Race Teams are located nearby including, Jack Roush Racing and Rusty Wallace Racing.
Directions: Interstate 77, Exit 36 and head west on Route 150. Be prepared to take an immediate left onto Rolling Hills Dr. (Traffic in this area is heavy most of the time USE CAUTION) Follow Rolling Hills Dr. for about 1/4 mile and turn right on to Knob Hill Dr. The Museum and Hall of Fame is located on your left.
