Established in 1858, the Swan River Schoolhouse is a quaint snapshot into the past. Equiped with a pot-bellied stove, this schoolhouse has been restored to show a common classroom of that era.
The historic building remains on its original site and still has many of the original desks and books. The stove dates to the 1858 construction as well. It hasn't been used as a school since the 1930s according to records and was only opened periodically as a polling place.
