Louis' Lookout is located on the Gnowangerup-Jerramungup Road 24 kilometres West of Ongerup and 31 kilometres east of Gnowangerup. The lookout gives an interesting view of the Stirling Ranges, one of the very few places to ever receive snow in Western Australia.
There is a rectangular brass plate orientation table with the landscape shape incised into the surface and the feature names and heights stamped into the surface below.
The plate bears the inscription "This is a Gnowangerup Rotary Club project erected on land donated by past member Louis Joubert and opened by M.C. House M.L.A. in April 1986".
The rest area is large enough for a dozen or so vehicles towing caravans to camp for the night.
