Quick Description: The centerpiece of the collection is Sue the dinosaur. The 42 foot long fossil was found on August 12, 1990 near Faith, South Dakota.

Long Description:
In addition to dinosaurs, the museum features many other types of fossils, such as, invertebrates, plants (including mesofossils), synapsids, and mammals. These fossils are from a wide variety of sources and locations. Local fossils in the collections include Middle Pennsylvanian aged fossils that were discovered along one of the tributaries of the Illinois River, the Mazon Creek.

A fossil preparation lab is also available for viewing.

Basic admission is $15 for adults, $10 for kids. Open every day except Christmas from 9am - 5pm.
