Here is how the WDM describes your experience at the North Battleford WDM:
"Join the fun at North Battleford’s Heritage Farm & Village WDM where we tell the story of farm and town life in Saskatchewan. You don't just visit this museum, you live it!"

Saskatchewan's Western Development Museums are some of the best, most comprehensive museums one will have the good fortune to visit. They are all fairly large, with both indoor and outdoor displays. This museum, for example, houses everything from turn of the century household and small business artefacts to farm implements to steam tractors to a steam locomotive to actual buildings relocated to the museum.

These buildings include a grain elevator from Keatley, SK, the railway station from Prince, SK, an 1879 log building, as used by the Northwest Mounted Police,a thatched roof cottage, small business buildings, four churches, and more.

The churches:
St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church - Built in Fielding, Saskatchewan in 1910.
St. Mary's Anglican Church - Built in Lilac, Saskatchewan in 1908.
St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church - Built in Redfield, Saskatchewan in 1918 by Polish settlers.
Holy Trinity Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church - Built in 1910 by settlers from Ukraine.

For the gearheads amongst us, they have an extensive collection of agricultural implements, tractors, both steam and gasoline, and carriages, cars and trucks. It's pretty easy to spend a whole day wandering around this museum, and well worth the time.
