The flag station was a small wooden building where passengers would be able to climb up and display a flag, indicating the the local train was to make a stop. This station was on the Canadian National Railway and was in use until approximately 1953. All traces of the structure were removed when the rails were taken up.

The TCT extends through here on its way east and west. Eventually the TCT will extend about 23,000 km (14,000 mi) from coast to coast, with large sections on converted rails to trails. The local section is referred to as the Campbellford section, which extends from Hastings in the west to west of Mount Pleasant, ON in the east, a distance of 33.5 km.
