The Malay state of Kelantan lies on the north east border with Thailand. The state capital, Kota Bharu, lies just south on the border, on the Kelantan River. A pleasant, not overly large, quiet town, with few visitors. On the south-west approach to the city is a park, with a number of sites, including a fountain.
The fountain stretches north-south along the main axis of the park. At one end a tower clock, the other a welcome sign in the form of a large Koran. Overall, a pleasant package to view as you enter this pleasant, small town.
