The Feldwick Park Gates were constructed by the City of Invercargill in 1924 in honor John Feldwick, a prominent citizen. In his 1913 will he bequest £20,000 for the development of the park. The gate posts feature a relief of him along with the original Invercargill coat of arms.
The gate is a category II structure on the New Zealand Heritage Register.
