This 14 ton behemoth was actually built by Minneapolis Steel & Machinery Company, working in conjunction with McVicker Engineering. Together they built a line of kerosene burning tractors under the name of Twin City. Of the four models in the line, this was the biggest. It was built around 1916-1918.

The six cylinder engine was a 2,229 cubic inch monster with a bore and stroke of 7.25 X 9.00 inches. That's 371 c.i. per cylinder. BIG!!! It ran at 500 RPM and probably produced in the neighbourhood of 1,000 foot pounds of torgue at that speed. Its coolant capacity was 480 qts and it carried a full load of 86 gallons of fuel.

Strangely, the machine was built having only one forward and one reverse gear. Obviously it was intended for one job and one job only, probably that of pulling a 12 bottom plow.

Here are its dimensions:
Weight: 27,100 lbs [12292 kg]
Length: 262.5 inches [666 cm]
Width: 110.5 inches [280 cm]
Height: 122 inches [309 cm]
Wheels: 84x30 steel (rear)

Coordinates are for the centre of the tractor and machinery section, as I expect you'll want to see them all.
Engine Type: Internal Combustion

Wheel Type: Steel

Make: Minneapolis Steel & Machinery Company & McVicker Engineering
