Mindekorset er rejst for Carlo Randrup Thomsen, der mistede livet efter en træfning mellem besættelsesmagten og danske frihedskæmpere den 16. april 1945.
Kampen fandt sted ved et skindlager i Kristrup Enge, hvor byledelsen havde anbragt våben og ammunition. Depotet
var blevet afsløret, og under flytningen af lageret slog tyskerne til.
Korset er et cirka 2 m. højt enkelt trækors med en mindeplade. Det er rejst nær det sted hvor Carlo Randrup Thomsen blev dødeligt såret af skud. Idag er stedet omgivet af fabrikker, men omkring korset er et fint afgrænset område med træer og lav bevoksning.

Memorial cross in memory of Carlo Randrup Thomsen, who died after a fight between German soldiers and Danish freedom fighters on 16 april 1945.
The battle took place at a fur store in Kristrup Enge, where weapons and ammunition where hidden. The weapondepot had been revealed, and during the relocation of the warehouse a German patrol unit showed up.
The cross is an approximately 2 m high simple wooden cross with a plaque. It is located near the place where Carlo Randrup Thomsen was mortally wounded by gunfire. Today the place is surrounded by factories but around the cross is a well defined area with trees and low vegetation.
