While the datasheet and the coordinates should be enough to get you into the general area, as you turn onto Smith Rd, you'll see a white metal fence gate which is the only gate here on a barbed wire fence. To the west, you're looking at gas lease property, but your focus is on that gate and its northern post: The benchmark is at the ground, about two feet from that post, and there are a couple of wooden slats protecting it.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1960 2.1 MI NE FROM JUSTIN. 2.1 MILES EAST AND NORTH ALONG F.M.ROAD 407, FROM JUSTIN, ABOUT 50 YARDS NORTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE CURVE IN THE HIGHWAY, AND 50 YARDS SOUTHWEST FROM A WHITE FARM HOUSE, 2 FEET EAST OF THE NORTH-SOUTH FENCE LINE WHICH IS THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY FENCE OF THE HIGHWAY TO THE SOUTH, 9 YARDS NORTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE FARM LANE, IN RANGE WITH THE NORTH GUTTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY TO THE EAST AND 1 FOOT NORTH OF A 4 X 4 WITNESS POST. A STANDARD DISK STAMPED N 945 1946 IN A CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS ABOUT 3 INCHES.

THE MARK IS IN THE PROPERTY LINE AT A POWERLINE CROSSING.
