This church has a public maze (labyrinth). Walking thru a Labyrinth is usually intended to be a meditative and contemplative act, and many religions incourage this activity.
The signs read:
"WALK OUR COMMUNITY LABYRINTH A replica of the eleven-circuit labyrinth in the stone floof of Chartres Cathedral, France is painted on the west side of patio.

Walk St. Gabriel's Community Labryinth
The Labryinth is an ancient walking meditation pathway found in many cultures and faith traditions around the world. This pathway circles to center without tricks or dead ends, allowing the mind to slow and quiet. The winding path becomes a mirror for the twists, turns and passages in our lives.
There are three symbolic phases of a Layrinth walk:
RELEASE: As you begin to make your way to the center, allow your mind to quiet. This is a time of letting go of the details of life, a time of emptying and of opening to your God. ILLUMINATION: When you reach the center feel free to sit of stand as long as you like. This is a place of meditation, prayer and opening to grace. Allow yourself to receive what there is for you to receive. RETURN: The walk back from the center might be a time of integration, of bringing back with you and into your life that which you have received. You may have a sense of things falling into place, or a first step being revealed. You may see circumstances in a different way."
Maze Type: Labyrinth
Directions: Please park in the church lot, and proceed to the front door where you will encounter a sign with arrow directing to the maze around the corner of the church.
