This memoial was commissioned, erected and dedicated by the Royal Canadian Naval Association; Victoria Branch on the 12th of September 1993.

This granite memorial with anchor is located to the south of the Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria. Each person listed on the memorial indicates the ship that they were lost on and the year of their death.
