Bavarian Rothenburg is Europe's best preserved medieval town since it has been spared by all the wars that hit the country over the last 500 years.

With its splendid location and charming medieval atmosphere hardly any other town is able to captivate its visitors in quite the same way as Rothenburg in Bavaria. A walk through this small town is an unforgettable encounter with bygone centuries. The imposing building of the Town Hall, the Ratstrinkstube building (our default picture), stately towers, massive fortifications, churches and beautiful flowered patrician houses are witnesses to a mighty imperial past.

The Tourist Information Center is located in the Ratstrinkstube building. Here you can get information and brochures about Rothenburg, make room reservations and arrange guided tours.
The building contains a clock which re-enacts daily, the historic "meistertrunk".

One of our pictures shows the Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas Museum which, with its more than 30,000 traditional German Christmas decorations, has attracted millions of tourists from all over the world.

The coordinates were taken in front of the Ratstrinkstube building.
