This building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 24, 2000. The building is an example of classical revival architecture, built around 1930 using brick from the Marshfield Brick and Tile Company.

In the 1960's the building became a Civil Defense Fallout Shelter with a capacity for 100.
