This is a separate plaque for the Persian Gulf War located within the Perry County War Memorial near the Hazard, Kentucky, City hall.

Next to the Hazard, Kentucky, City Hall stands this war memorial. It consists of a tall granite stone with the names of WWII veterans inscribed, flanked by shorter stones with names of veterans from WWI, Korean War, and Viet Nam War. There is a separate bronze plaque for veterans of the Persian Gulf War, and a monument in honor of POW/MIA with a plaque for Capt. John E. Stringer, II.
In front of the monument is a stone plaza with granite benches, surrounded by landscaped shrubs and grass.
The inscriptions on the general memorial are:

mountains from whence they came
