The conditions here are good enough to attract a fair number of surfers. Amenities at Buccaneer Park, a short distance north along the beach also add to the attraction for this spot. Parking is only available along neighborhood streets and on busy days the hike can get lengthy but generally never more than about 1/4 mile.
