Kao city is a district capital of the Prachinburi province of central Thailand. Near the town centre is a district bus station. It consists of a long, rectangular, covered waiting area, with bus bays around, sixteen in total. This station is on a route from Laos through to Bangkok, thus busy. Large buses travel through here heading north and south, to the provincial capital to the west, and to the small villages in the district.
